The number of farmed poultry in Ukraine continues to grow. During the year, the number of poultry raised in Ukraine increased by 2.9%, as evidenced by the data of the State Statistics Service.

As of July 1 of this year, individual farms raised 129,288.1 thousand heads of poultry, while in 2018 this number was 129540.2 thousand heads.

Agricultural enterprises on the same date of this year contained 124327.4 thousand heads. In the previous year at the same time they raised 116988.3 thousand birds.

If we talk about the beginning of this year, on January 1, 2019, agricultural enterprises of all categories grew 210 788.4 thousand. For comparison, according to data as of January 1, 2018, the quantitative indicator of poultry in poultry farms was 204 830.9 thousand heads.

For information, the largest number of poultry (mainly chicken) is concentrated in the Vinnitsa region. The second and third places in terms of the number of birds belong to Cherkasy and Kiev regions.

The smallest number of poultry is grown in the Nikolaev and Lugansk regions.
