In the Mordovian open spaces, the harvesting process is in its most active phase.

At the same time, local farmers manage to carry out a forage harvesting campaign, providing regional cattle with a winter “menu”.

It should be noted that at the moment, by August 2, 2019, the republican farmers by common efforts managed to procure more than fifty-six thousand nine hundred tons of hay for farm animals of their region. This figure is equal to forty-eight percent of the plan outlined at the beginning of the campaign.

As for the haylage, to this day it has been stockpiled in the amount of four hundred seventy five thousand eight hundred tons - the product is already mothballed and accounts for seventy percent of the planned amount.

Such information was shared with the public by representatives of the public relations department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Mordovia.

The department also emphasized that in total, representatives of agricultural enterprises in the region have procured to date about thirteen and a half centners of feed units per average cattle.
