A standard labor contract for short-term seasonal agricultural work for a period of more than one day was approved by order of the Minister of Labor and Social Policy of Bulgaria, Denitsa Sacheva.
It corresponds to the amendments adopted in the clause of the Law on Extraordinary Measures and Actions announced by the decision of the National Assembly of March 13, 2020. According to the clause, only during a state of emergency additional opportunities are created for using the so-called one-day contracts that can be concluded for a period of more than one day during this period. Registered tobacco producers have the right to hire them, in addition to registered farmers, and there is no need to make contributions in advance.
In Spain, at the palace of King Philip ΙΙ, the tobacco plant was used as an exotic decorative flower.
Under short-term seasonal agricultural contracts, workers can be hired to grow crops and pick fruit, vegetables, pink lavender and, during a state of emergency, tobacco. According to the provisions, contracts for the new model can be concluded for 6 hours. If they are concluded for a period of more than one day, they must clearly indicate their validity.
The Directorate General of Labor Inspection is currently working on the modernization of the portal of one-day labor contracts, which from April 21, 2020 will make it possible to electronically provide a unique identification number for registration of each model of the contract, drawn up in accordance with the order of the Minister of Labor and Social Policy. For the period until April 21, 2020, registered farmers and tobacco producers can conclude labor contracts in accordance with the approved model without a single registration number.
