Based on forecasts of experts from the agro-industrial complex, in the near future the production of such crops as sunflower is expected to decrease.

Analysts are sure that we are talking about a decrease of at least one million tons, and then the volume of sunflower seeds around the world during the season 2019-2020. will not exceed fifty and a half million tons.

It is noteworthy that the Russian Federation and Ukraine are considered the main suppliers of sunflower to the world market. And both states are already moving towards a decrease in production rates: Ukrainian farmers - up to twelve million tons, and Russian - up to fourteen million eight hundred thousand tons.

Following colleagues from Ukraine and Russia, Argentine farmers will also reduce sunflower production. It is known that last year they managed to bring about three million eight hundred thousand tons of products to the market, but this season the figure does not exceed three million seven hundred eighty thousand tons.

The decline in sunflower production in the Turkish expanses is also forecasted this season: from one million eight hundred thousand tons to one and a half million tons.

It will not be superfluous to note that the production of sunflower oil and meal will, on the contrary, grow. It will also affect the fact that the final stock of sunflower all over the world will fall by one million - from three million two hundred seventy tons to two million six hundred and fifty tons.
