In the period from 2017 to 2019, the rate of production of mustard significantly increased in the agricultural facilities of the Stavropol Territory.
Industry analysts note that over the past two years, the area under mustard has increased to 12.2 thousand hectares. And this is at least 4 thousand hectares higher than last year.
For clarity, we note that from 2015 to 2017, only 3 thousand hectares were sown with mustard in the Stavropol Territory. Such information was shared with the public by the deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory Andrei Oleinikov.He also emphasized that today mustard, grown in the Stavropol open spaces, is highly regarded by producers not only in the Russian Federation, but also in other countries. It is actively and massively purchased in connection with the high content of oils (from 37 to 45%, depending on the variety and type of mustard) and protein (from 23 to 25%).
Stavropol mustard is bought by employees of the baking industry, producers of preservation, confectioners and producers of mayonnaise and margarine. Mustard workers of the medical industry, pharmacists, soap makers, and perfumers, are not without.Workers in the textile industry, employees in the leather industry, as well as metallurgists and technicians. In the future, the area under the cultivation of mustard in the Stavropol Territory will only increase.
