This year, an emergency regime due to drought was introduced in the Penza region. 22 out of 27 municipalities reported partial death of crops due to abnormal weather conditions.
Employees of the Ministry of Regional Agriculture and local governments conducted a study of crops, after which they prepared and sent a number of documents to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia to compensate for damage to Penza farmers who suffered from weather conditions. Funds will be allocated from the federal budget.
The Federal Agrarian Office made an expert assessment of the submitted documents. As a result of the work done to study the documentation, 155 agricultural producers of the region were recognized as affected by the drought.
Cultivated plants died on an area of 48.8 thousand ha., As a result, farmers of the Penza region suffered losses in the amount of 343.6 million rubles.
