Upon their arrival, the harvester was completely covered by fire. During operation, a fire occurred in the engine compartment.

It was not immediately clear beyond the pillar of dust that a fire had occurred. When the workers on the field suspected something was amiss, they stopped the combine, and together with the driver rushed to extinguish the engine compartment with the help of fire extinguishers.

However, due to strong winds, the fire quickly spread to crop residues, grease and dust and literally in 5-10 minutes completely covered the combine.

At 11:55 the rescuers managed to localize the fire and at 13:10 - to liquidate. All combustible parts of the combine were destroyed by fire, even brass parts melted - the temperature was so high. The cause of the fire is established by specialists.

For safety during the harvesting period, rescuers remind about the need to check the operability of grain harvesting equipment before entering the field, as well as to ensure timely cleaning of all units in the combine and the removal of tools or equipment adapted for fire fighting in the field.
