Next year, the territory of the Moscow Region, sown with corn, will increase to 36 thousand hectares. Farmers in the region plan to collect more than ten thousand tons of corncobs from these areas in the coming season.

As for grain production in the Moscow region as a whole, here, we are confident in the administration of the region, there is something to think about and work hard. So, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Moscow Region called on his colleagues to strive for such indicators that in three years from the fields of the region at the end of the season it would be possible to collect at least half a million tons of grain.

“The current crop is significantly lower than last year,” the minister said. - This year, our farmers managed to collect only a little more than 412 thousand tons from fields near Moscow. Last year, they filled the storages with 417 thousand tons of the same crops. ”

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture does not discount the fact that the weather conditions in 2018 intensively influenced the volume of the crop: this year's drought affected the indicators. However, in future seasons, he urges farmers to strengthen their positions in case of adverse climatic conditions and other circumstances.

According to the results of this year, Razin named the fields in the territories of Zaraysk, Serebryanye Prudy and Kashira counties among the leaders in the production of grain and legumes in the region.
