The company claims that its “fairly progressive product” is a “smart choice for the planet.”
Vegan brand Oatly has announced the launch of a new line of milk-flavored yogurt called Oatgurt. The Swedish company, which already sells a wide range of vegetable milk, ice cream and sandwich spreads, has created four new different flavored yoghurts: regular (natural), vanilla, strawberry, and elderberry.
The company says that "this is a fairly progressive product that you can use as yogurt made only from oats and not from dairy products, so it will give you beta-glucans, good unsaturated fat and a good mood."Last month, the brand created a large wall painting in east London, in which passersby are asked to give up milk, showing off a simple black and white design of a milk bottle decorated with the words "milk without milk."
In a statement, Oatly (International Markets) creative director Michael Lee said: “Our message to people at the London Coffee Festival and everyone who might be interested in the future is pretty simple - exchange cow's milk for oat drinks and save the planet 73 percent of the carbon dioxide.” .
