On June 19 this year, analysts from the Infoindustria news agency conducted a survey of agricultural producers in the southern regions of the country, during which it became known about the harvesting of winter rape and barley, as well as peas.
Although the harvesting campaign started only a few days ago, the farmers are ready to voice their first conclusions about the yield.
According to the respondents, the yield of winter barley in different regions of Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson regions cannot be called the same. So, while some agricultural producers informed about crop productivity at the level of 60-70 c / ha, others reported that this year it is not higher than 35 c / ha.
This difference in data is due to weather conditions that are observed in the south of Ukraine. Even on the scale of the same region, the weather was different in different areas. So, some farms suffered from drought, while others flooded the fields with heavy rains, sometimes with hail.
Weather conditions continue to affect the harvest of winter cereals, rapeseed and peas. Not all enterprises were able to enter the fields to harvest due to the increased moisture content in the soil.
Earlier it was reported that due to the large amount of rainfall, farmers of some farms of the Kherson region were forced to postpone harvesting.
