Researchers report that in the future, food can be produced from “air” without creating a greenhouse effect or negative climate impact on planet Earth. Finnish scientists say that protein, which is made from air, in 10 years can be as popular as soy.
The method of getting food from the air is based on the fact that protein is produced by bacteria from the soil, which are fed by hydrogen, which is separated from the water by electricity. If such a food production system is implemented, it will greatly help in solving many of the problems that exist in agriculture.
Roger Harrabin, an environmental analyst at the BBC, tasted a few grains of a precious protein flour called salt, and it didn’t taste as good as the scientists planned. They want this supplement to be neutral in all types of food.
Direct speech: “It can be like palm oil, which is placed in a cake, ice cream, cookies, pasta, noodles, sauce or bread. Researchers say it can also be used to grow meat or fish. She can also feed livestock, ”he said.
Since the 1950s for livestock needs, more than 50% of tropical forests were destroyed.
Direct speech: “Solar Food CEO Pasi Vainikka said the ideas behind the technology were originally developed for the space industry in the 1960s.
His plant is several months behind schedule, but says that it will be ready by 2022. The final investment decision will be made in 2023, and if everything goes according to plan, the first plant will appear in 2025, ”explains Harrabin.
The production of protein from the air is also supported by George Monbio who made the documentary film The Cow of the Apocalypse. He believes that solar products give hope for the future of the Earth.
Scientists at the RethinkX Research Center believe that squirrels from the air will be ten times cheaper than animals in the next 15 years. They also calculated that as a result of the food situation in the world, livestock farming will completely fall apart.
Last year, a consortium of leading research and academic institutions came to the conclusion that microbial protein was several times more effective than soybeans, and that only one 1/10 of the water needed to produce it.
