It is prepared simply, but looks spectacular and appetizing. And the ingredients for this dish are easy to find in the market or in the nearby supermarket.
So, to feed your guests lean burgers, you will need (for 7 servings):
- 1 kg of beets;
- 200 g feta cheese (can be replaced with feta cheese);
- 4 cloves of garlic;
- 3 tbsp whole-grain yeast-free crackers;
- 1 chicken egg;
- 7 lean buns;
- 7 lettuce;
- 300 g low-fat yogurt;

Beets must be thoroughly washed, wrapped with foil and baked in an oven preheated to 200 degrees until soft. When the beets have cooled, grate it on a coarse grater and mix with mashed potatoes with a fork or pestle (if you use feta cheese, also rub it on a grater).
Boiled beets - the basis for lean burgers
Mix cheese and beets with chopped garlic (2 cloves), salt and pepper the mixture, add crackers, crushed in a blender or coffee grinder, into it and add a raw egg to the mass. Mix everything well and leave in a cool place for 30-40 minutes.
Greens & Yogurt Sauce - Light and Tender
While the burger mass is infused, make the sauce. To do this, just mix yogurt, chopped herbs, 2 more chopped cloves of garlic and spices.
You can fry burger patties in a non-stick pan or grill
Form 7 cutlets from the beetroot mixture, fry them on both sides in a pan. Fry the halves of the rolls in a separate non-stick pan or grill.
Layers of burger depend solely on your imagination and capabilities
Grease the lower halves of the buns with the sauce, put the lettuce on them, then the beetroot cutlet and again the sauce. Further layers are up to you. It can be vegetables, root vegetables, tofu cheese, canned pineapple, avocado, etc. The top half of the bun closes the whole series of layers.
