After all, the most delicious holidays of the year are coming, and I want to put on the New Year's table something as appetizing as possible, simple in execution and, if possible, minimally costly. This recipe comes in handy here - a gorgeous chicken in honey-oyster sauce!
The recipe for this dish was spied in one of the restaurant kitchens.
To prepare this dish, you need the following components:
500 g of chicken thigh meat (freed from skin and bones); 2 tbsp. olive oil; 50 g of liquid and aromatic honey; 60 g of oyster sauce (alternatively soy sauce mixed with a small amount of starch); juice of one lime (or half a lemon).
The ideal pair for such a chicken would be “glass” funchose noodles or baked vegetables in the oven or on the grill
Heat olive oil in a stewpan or deep frying pan (you can replace it with sunflower oil) and fry pieces of chicken thigh meat on it. Remember that the fire must be strong, and it is necessary to fry no more than two minutes on each side of the meat. During frying, hips need to be salted.
While the meat is frying, mix honey and sauce (oyster or soya with starch), add lime or lemon juice there. When the meat is fried, add the honey-oyster or honey-soy mixture to it, reduce the heat to medium and simmer under the lid of order 8 minutes Sometimes open the lid and gently turn the meat in the sauce.
In honey-oyster sauce, you can fry not only chicken meat, but also shanks, wings, etc.
When the chicken is ready, lay it on a common dish or lay out in portions. The ideal pair for such a chicken would be “glass” funchose noodles or vegetables baked in the oven or on the grill.
